our history

The Community FoodBank of NJ Southern Branch is a division of the Community FoodBank of The branch services Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and parts of Burlington Counties from its 27,000 square foot warehouse in Egg Harbor Township.

With the help of thousands volunteers and a dedicated staff of 15 full time employees, we distribute an average of 75,000 pounds of groceries every week; giving us an annual distribution of more than 3.9 million pounds of food and grocery items reaching the needy in our community.

Community FoodBank of NJ, Southern Branch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that solicits, stores and distributes donations of food & grocery products on behalf of other charitable feeding programs serving those in need since 1987.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to alleviate the direct effects of hunger and poverty in New Jersey. We will engage, educate and empower the community to be part of our ongoing efforts.

Vision Statement
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey will be the leader in raising awareness of hunger and poverty in New Jersey. We will bring all sectors of our society together to provide the short-term responses and the long-term solutions.
