Where does the food go?
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey serves a network of over 1600 hunger-relief agencies, including food pantries and soup kitchens. We can get your donation to people who are having difficulty making ends meet in 18 of the 21 counties in New Jersey, quickly and efficiently.
How quickly can you pick up my company’s donation after we call?
Under normal circumstances we will pick up your donation within 3 business days after your call. The FoodBank has a fleet of trucks including two 53 foot tractor-trailers on the road daily picking up refrigerated and dry donations. Our fully equipped Hillside warehouse has 288,000 square feet including 119,000 cubic feet of freezer and cooler space. These resources create a basis for forming a partnership with our donors based on our reputation of consistency and reliability.
Does the FoodBank send a receipt for our donation?
Yes. You will promptly receive a receipt specifying the number of items or total weight received. Our entire inventory is computerized and traceable, for your safety and convenience.
Can I get a tax deduction for my corporate donation?
Yes. A current law in place allows you to write off 2 x the cost of your product.
