Family Meals

The modern American family is busy — often too busy to cook, sit down, and enjoy something as basic as a delicious, nutritious meal together. With un- and under-employment a pressing issue for many families, affording a healthy meal is often a challenge in itself. It’s a familiar scene: the frazzled mother, the quick, easy stop at the fast food restaurant. Those meals, however, provide no nutritional value, and can often end up costing much more.

The Community Kitchen’s “Family Meals” program was born out of a desire to create a viable alternative for working families just like these. Our highly-trained staff of cooks, under the direction of Executive Chef Paul Kapner, designed an entire dinner for four packaged in a convenient heat and serve container. Each meal is pre-cooked and frozen, preserved until it’s heated and ready to serve.

These meals aren’t just easy to prepare — they’re very affordable and packed with essential nutrients that everyone deserves. Each dinner contains one of four different (and delicious!) entrées, complete with plenty of seasonal vegetables and protein.

The Family Meals program shows that a well-balanced meal does not have to get lost in the hectic daily shuffle.
