Our Kids Division has a simple goal: to improve the lives of children and break the cycle of poverty. By providing them with classroom supplies, new clothing, and nutritious, kid-friendly meals, we give children opportunities they might not otherwise receive. Turning a life around can begin with offering some of the most basic things many of us might take for granted.
We currently run four programs aimed at fulfilling the Kids Division mission: Tools 4 Schools, Kids Closet, Kids Cafe, and the BackPack Program. Donor Spotlight
Recent donations from Babies R Us, Roca Wear, and Gymboree will allow us to outfit hundreds of low-income children as they go back to school. Their continued support and that of many individuals and manufacturers is essential to our success. We are pleased to partner with Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) and their donors.
Kudos to Office Max for their weekly donations and invaluable volunteer support. We are also indebted to Staples and Office Depot for their recent contributions of school supplies.
Teachers shopping at Tools 4 Schools will have the opportunity to choose some high-tech teaching tools for their students thanks to the thoughtfulness and generosity ofWayside Technology Group. Company President, Simon Nynens selected over $50,000 worth of software and exciting new teaching tools to meet the needs of the underserved schools enrolled in our program. Thank you!
Most Valuable Volunteers
Kids Closet volunteers are the heart and soul of our program. Employees from ,L’Oreal, Polo, FedEx, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Cintas are just some of the groups who have stepped up to provide invaluable volunteer support in recent months.
Individual volunteers Herb Oesterle and Dana Lee Wood generously devote time to the Kids Division week after week.
