our history

The Community FoodBank of NJ Southern Branch is a division of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.  The branch services Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and parts of Burlington Counties from its 27,000 square foot warehouse in Egg Harbor Township.

With the help of thousands of volunteers and our dedicated staff of 21 full and part time employees, we distribute an average 110,000 pounds of groceries every week (over 5.7 million pounds a year)  to over 230 partner agencies in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and southern Burlington counties.

Community FoodBank of NJ, Southern Branch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that solicits, stores and distributes donations of food & grocery products on behalf of other charitable feeding programs serving those in need since 1987.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long term solutions.  We will engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle.

Vision Statement
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey will be the leader in raising awareness of hunger and poverty in New Jersey. We will bring all sectors of our society together to provide the short-term responses and the long-term solutions.
